The Nursery School and Daycare have admissions waiting lists. Parents
can put their child's name on the waiting lists from their 2nd birthday.
Nursery School
In the Nursery School, the earliest a place can
be offered is the term after a child's 3rd birthday.
We aim to admit children by the term before their 4th birthday.
In line with the county admissions policy, children are accepted
for a minimum of 6 terms unless they are transferring from another
Nursery School out of the area. Children are initially offered a
part-time place for either 5 mornings or 5 afternoons per week.
If spaces permit, children are offered a full-time place during
the term of their 5th birthday. In some circumstances, a full-time
place may be offered earlier. In cases where there are insufficient
places, the County Admissions Policy for Nursery Schools and Classes
is referred to.
There are a planned number of places for children with special educational
needs. The School Governors meet each term to decide on the admissions
for these places where they consider requests from Health and Social
Services specialists.
Parents are informed of the availability of a place for their child
during the half-term prior to admission.
Daycare
In the Daycare, children can be admitted from
their 3rd birthday.
Priority will be given to children who are or will be attending
the Nursery School. Consideration is also given to special educational
needs, personal circumstances, and the length of time on the waiting
list. |
