The Daycare is situated in a self-contained, purpose-built building within the grounds of Lydalls Nursery School.

Lydalls Daycare is registered to take 20 children between the ages of 3 years and 8 years. It is run by trained and experienced staff with a ratio of one member of staff to 8 children.

The Daycare offers a wrap-around service to those children atending Lydalls Nursery School. It also provides before and after school sessions, and holiday clubs.

The Daycare has an annual OFSTED inspection and meets the national standards for full day care.

We provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for the children. They have access to a wide variety of equipment and activities both inside and outside.

All staff are involved in planning and evaluating the children's learning. The activities planned cover all areas of the Foundation Stage of Learning. Nursery School and Daycare staff work closely on all aspects of provision ensuring a balance of high quality education and care.

There is a Daycare advisory group consisting of Nursery School governors and parents.

Opening Times

Lydalls Daycare is open Monday - Friday from 8.00am to 5.30pm.

We are closed on Public Holidays, for the period between Christmas and the New Year, and the February and October holidays.
